Beit Professor of Global and Imperial History

The American Historical Association, in association with Balliol College, is seeking an exceptional leader in the field of global and imperial history to fill the prestigious Beit Professor position. This esteemed role offers a unique opportunity for a distinguished scholar to shape the future of global and imperial history at Oxford.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of innovative research, publications, and academic leadership. With a strong international reputation, they will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the field, including funded grant applications, workshops, course design, public events, and outreach.

This senior academic post comes with a competitive salary of approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be a member of the University and a professorial fellow of Balliol College.
