Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct Care: Provide high-quality direct care to young people, including key working, daily living skills, and emotional support.
  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with young people, their social workers, and other relevant agencies to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement effective care plans to support young people's transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Establishment Management: Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for young people.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Young Person Support: Provide ongoing support to young people, promoting their independence, self-esteem, and personal growth.
  • Safeguarding: Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
  • Household Responsibilities: Share in practical activities to maintain the house, including caring for the fabric, equipment, and environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience of working with children and young people in an Ofsted-regulated environment.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 CYPW or equivalent (or currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care).
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS Check, and on the update service.
  • Driving Ability: Ability to drive.
  • Personal Qualities: Smart and agile to handle the daily needs and activities of young people.
