About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ubuntu Server Team Lead to join our team at Canonical. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and lead a globally distributed team of engineers responsible for delivering cloud-based solutions using Ubuntu Server.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers, with a strong track record of developing and growing people. You will be knowledgeable and passionate about software development, with experience working in an agile development environment and a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Management to define the vision and strategy for Ubuntu and your team, effectively setting and managing expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders. You will also advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices, develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices, and grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values.

As an Ubuntu Server Team Lead, you will oversee the quality of the Ubuntu Server image family, plan and deliver Ubuntu Server features, and engage with teams at Canonical, the open source community, and commercial partners.
