Job Description
We are looking for a Highway Regulation Specialist to join our team at Hayes Staff Recruitment Careers. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to work as part of the Network Management team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and relevant Council policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise Statutory Undertakers works, ensuring delivery of the Council's Network Management Duty.
• Police highway activities, ensuring all relevant Acts and codes of practice are adhered to.
• Carry out highway safety inspections, raising works orders to ensure the asset is maintained to the required standards.
• Deputise for the Network Team Leader as necessary to ensure continuance of service delivery.
• Provide a lead role within New Roads and Streetworks Act, Highways Act, and Highways maintenance, acting as a coach and providing expert guidance to other Technical Officers and Technical Support Officers designated to support them in delivering effective services.
• Be responsible for day-to-day inspection and enforcement regimes for statutory street works and highways safety and enforcement inspections and report on conditions to bring about improvements.
• Deliver the Council's statutory functions by ensuring street works activities comply with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

What You'll Need
• Estimated salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Strong understanding of statutory requirements and Council policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in a similar role or related field.
• Ability to provide expert guidance and coaching to other team members.
