M5 Traffic Management Operative

FM Conway is seeking a skilled Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Light division based in Egham, Surrey. As a key member of our team, you will work on a full-time, permanent basis, with opportunities for day and night shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out a range of services, including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
  • Assisting with traffic diversion
  • Maintaining and removing traffic lights within the required timeframe
  • Managing traffic flow at temporary traffic lights, ensuring public compliance
  • Working closely with management and crews, taking instructions from the management team
  • Ensuring site safety and conducting on-site assessments
  • Responding to emergencies, notifying the appropriate personnel
  • Participating in a rota-based on-call system, if required
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card, and possess at least one of the following traffic management tickets: Lantra –, M1/2, M5, M6, 12AB Operatives, and LTMO / TMF. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware of and comply with provided RAMS.
