The UK Committee for UNICEF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join their Rights Respecting Schools Team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to promote the Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) Programme in schools across London, supporting them to achieve and maintain rights-respecting practices.

As a Child Protection Specialist, you will work strategically with children and young people in UK schools, advocating for their rights and promoting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, contributing to the promotion, development, and growth of the RRSA Programme within your region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the RRSA Programme in schools and support them to achieve and maintain rights-respecting practices.
  • Work strategically with children and young people in UK schools, advocating for their rights and promoting the CRC.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including school leaders, teachers, and parents.
  • Contribute to the promotion, development, and growth of the RRSA Programme within your region.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of working strategically at a senior level with children and young people in UK schools.
  • Experience of promoting children's rights and advocating for the CRC.
  • Strong IT and communication skills, including the ability to work efficiently remotely and manage multiple demands and priorities.
  • A confident and results-focused approach, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
What We Offer
