Job Title: Personal Development Tutor

Reed Further Education is seeking a skilled Personal Development Tutor to join our team. As a Personal Development Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in college, ensuring their academic progress and personal development during their studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver group tutorial sessions and activities to cover key personal development themes, including Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity, and the PREVENT agenda.
  • Meet with relevant managers and staff to discuss pastoral issues affecting students and refer them to more specialist services when necessary.
  • Support students with academic and personal progress, reviewing targets on an individual basis.
  • Complete inductions for students to give them a sense of community and ability to succeed.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 qualification; GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Excellent personal tutor, advisor, or mentor skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective group tutorial sessions, including those on sensitive topics.
  • Good working knowledge of target setting and review methods.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding Enhanced DBS check.
