Overview

Lorien's leading banking client is seeking a skilled Front Office Business Analyst to join their dynamic team on a brand-new project.

About the Role

This Hybrid Working role is based in London, requiring 1 day a week on site. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with traders, sales teams, and other key stakeholders across various asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with front office teams to understand and document requirements for efficient trading processes and workflows.
  • Analyse trading data to identify areas of improvement and implement optimisation solutions.
  • Manage end-to-end projects from requirements gathering to execution and post-implementation reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and support data and analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, and models.
  • Collaborate with technology and operations teams to ensure seamless system integrations.
  • Act as a liaison between front office teams and IT, ensuring effective technical solutions.
  • Regularly review front office processes to identify risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
  • At least 3 years of experience as a business analyst in the front office of an investment bank or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, trading, and front office functions across asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, commodities).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum + benefits (dependent on experience). This estimate is based on similar roles in London with a hybrid working model. Benefits include Via Umbrella scheme and Hybrid Working arrangement.
