About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS Software Engineer III to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Solution Development: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Secure Code Development: Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Architecture and Design: Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Problem Identification: Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Culture Enhancement: Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications
  • Software Engineering Concepts: Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and demonstrated applied experience.
  • iOS Frameworks: Extensive experience of using common frameworks: UIKit, Core Data, expert in common Cocoa design patterns, experience of developing for iOS with Objective-C and Swift.
  • iOS Platform Security: Practical knowledge of iOS Platform Security: Keychain, Certificate Pinning, Data Protection APIs and Encryption, experience of building re-useable libraries, frameworks and APIs.
  • SwiftUI and Combine: Experience with SwiftUI, Combine, and Async/Await.
  • System Design and Development: Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Coding Languages: Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
  • Corporate Environment: Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
  • Technical Discipline: Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
