CNC Turner Setter Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter Operator to join our team at Actio Engineering Recruitment. As a CNC Turner Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes, precision machining of bores, faces, and diameters of steel components, and maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc) to precision machine steel components
  • Carry out inspection of work using CMM and manual methods
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workstation
  • Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards
  • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork
Requirements:
  • Time served or equivalent experience in a precision machining company
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Ideal experience as an apprentice
  • Competent in Fanuc controls
  • Familiar with the operation of CNC lathes, including program adjustments
