About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team based in Bath.

">

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £35,392-£42,618, plus NHS Pension and Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

The Reablement Service is a short-term service that supports individuals in their own homes or residential settings, aiming to maximise and maintain independence through rehabilitation and support.

">

This role involves travel around the Bath and North East Somerset area, requiring a Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.

">

You will be part of a supportive and multi-disciplinary team consisting of Reablement Therapy Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Care Co-ordinators, and Administrative support.

">

The team collaborates closely with local GPs and community services, such as District Nurses and Social Workers.

">

This is a full-time position based at our St Martins Hospital, Bath, with core hours typically being until and once weekly.

">

The service operates seven days a week, and all staff are expected to work weekends and bank holidays within a team rota, with enhancements for unsocial hours worked inline with AfC rates.

Main Responsibilities

  2. Conduct therapeutic assessments, diagnoses, and treatments with patients using person-centred goals.">
  3. Provide an evidence-based Occupational therapy service of high standard, undertaking comprehensive assessments, reassessments, care planning, rehabilitation, and therapeutic care and support in a community setting.">
  4. Hold responsibility for your caseload, working with Rehabilitation Therapy Workers to deliver therapeutic programmes.">
  5. Offer effective supervision to junior Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, and Reablement Therapy Workers.">

Requirements

">

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy and be a Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC.

">

You should also possess a Full UK Driving License and have access to a car/vehicle.
