Job Role: Van Driver & Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Van Driver & Service Technician to deliver and install oxygen equipment in the homes of vulnerable individuals across Bristol and the surrounding area. This is a driving job that provides essential support to those who need it most and meets some wonderful people along the way.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and empathetically. They will also be able to manage time effectively and work independently, with a caring and professional attitude towards supporting vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving a van to multiple locations.
  • Delivering gas canisters to vulnerable people's homes.
  • Installing and servicing home breathing apparatus.
  • Moving oxygen canisters from the van into people's homes (heavy lifting required).

Work Schedule:

This role involves working 5 days per week, including Saturdays. You will get a day off during the week, and there is an on-call rota that you will participate in.

About the Role:

  • Hold a full UK category B driving licence with no more than 3 points.
  • Have experience in a similar delivery or service technician role (preferred but not essential - full training will be provided).
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Have a caring and professional attitude, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Pass an enhanced DBS check.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £13.24 per hour PAYE, plus overtime available. The total annual salary would be approximately £27,708 per year, based on a 37-hour working week and 52 weeks per year.
