Imperium Automation is a leading provider of automated solutions for distribution centers, and we are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Field Service Engineer to join our team.

This role will involve providing shift cover and responding to breakdowns at multiple sites across the West and East Midlands, the North West, and other locations. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, including conveyors, packaging machinery, sortation machinery, robotics, and more. Additionally, you will assist with installations and projects primarily at distribution centers.

To be successful in this position, you must possess excellent communication skills and be able to integrate seamlessly with resident teams at client sites, ensuring that you represent Imperium Automation in a professional manner at all times. As a business, we offer 24/7/365 reactive maintenance support to our clients, and you will need to be flexible to meet their expectations.

Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical/multi-skilled training
  • Good understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Experience working in automated distribution centers
  • Solid awareness of risk assessment, method statements, permits, and safe working practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • IPAF training and confidence working at heights and in confined spaces

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
