Job Summary

We are seeking a Resident Support Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. This is a part-time opportunity, working 18 hours per week, with a focus on providing holistic care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a person-centred service to residents, identifying their needs and preferences, and collaborating with other teams to achieve this.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations and St Monica Trust's policies.
  • Ensure room checks, communal room comfort, and laundry sorting are completed to a high standard.
  • Meet residents' unique needs and work collaboratively with colleagues across the care home teams.
  • Prepare lounge areas for use as a coffee and bar venue for residents and their visitors.
Working Arrangements

This role involves working 3 shifts per week, with the following rota:

Position 1: Every Sunday, Monday, and Saturday, 1pm-7:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)

Position 2: Every Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 1pm-7:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)

Requirements
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email
  • Understanding of basic food preparation and cleaning techniques
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules and customer service principles
  • Desirable: Level 1 or 2 in Food Hygiene, Level 2 in Healthcare Cleaning, or equivalent qualifications
