About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Liberties Solicitor / Legal Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil liberties law, with a focus on representing clients in civil claims against public authorities and inquests. The successful candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role will involve:

  • Obtaining and interpreting medical and accountancy evidence to advise clients accordingly.
  • Progressing cases efficiently, while managing client expectations and ensuring compliance with legal parameters.
  • Experience of dealing with Legal Aid is preferred, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and the Human Rights Act is essential.
  • Drafting letters of claim, statements, and preparing court submissions.
  • Being proactive in taking ownership of cases and driving career progression.
