The Role

As an experienced Contracts Manager, you will oversee contracts to ensure timely completion and adherence to company quality standards. This position involves managing various highway schemes across the West Midlands.

  • Required Qualifications: SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS Card, Driving License

The Essential Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Experience managing Highway Civil Concrete Repair Schemes
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager on Concrete Repair schemes in the Civils Sector

Job Responsibilities

  1. Managing multiple contracts to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
  2. Collaborating with estimators during pre-contract planning and liaison
  3. Leading and delegating tasks to engineering and contract staff
  4. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current contract forms, acts, and legislation
  5. Reviewing, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts
  6. Ensuring compliance with company Health and Safety procedures and IMS protocols
  7. Liaising with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, and sub-contractors
  8. Supporting the preparation of quality bids, PQQs, and presentations as required
  9. Providing technical, contractual, and legal advice
  10. Preparing accurate information for regional contract appraisals and other reports
  11. Budgeting, monitoring, and controlling contract finances
  12. Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
  13. Coordinating payment applications and final account settlements
  14. Motivating and guiding staff and operatives
  15. Recruiting, selecting, disciplining, and dismissing staff when necessary
  16. Maintaining a comprehensive photographic library and promotional materials
  17. Enhancing and promoting the company's profile and activities

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
