About the RoleAs a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in constructing and maintaining infrastructure to support the NZ Army's operations. Your responsibilities will include operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes to carry out earthworks, road construction, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in planning and executing construction projects, including site preparation and earthworks
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Class 1 restricted drivers' licence
- Experience working with heavy machinery, preferably in an earthworks or construction environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
This role offers a competitive salary, ranging from $50,597 under initial training to $129,061 for experienced operators. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
