Data Engineer Role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in converting raw data into actionable insights, using our cutting-edge Phusion SaaS platform. Your duties will involve reviewing and cleansing data from various sources, such as Excel spreadsheets and Access databases, and importing it into our proprietary software. By identifying valuable sources of engineering information and ensuring compliance with industry standards, you will offer guidance and training to team members, collaborate with consultants and project managers, and provide technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate client engineering information and advise on processing methodologies.
- Identify key sources of engineering data and determine optimal utilization.
- Get familiar with asset management systems for maintenance, hazardous equipment, inspections, etc., and assist in organizing digital information.
- Apply expertise in regulations and data standards to guide and train team members.
- Instruct team members on reading and extracting data from documents like P&IDs and 3D models.
- Support quality assurance efforts by reviewing various engineering information and reporting discrepancies.
- Engage directly with clients, attend meetings, and address technical inquiries to support Consultants and Project Managers.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of engineering information used in major capital projects and operational assets, capable of coaching team members in managing this data.
- Ability to offer technical support in specific disciplines, especially related to equipment and associated data and documents.
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering documents and extracting pertinent information for project requirements.
- Familiarity with engineering data, documents, and 3D models.
- Solid grasp of engineering industry standards and regulations.
