Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Rotherham

This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3/HLTA qualified Teaching Assistant to join our educational team on a permanent basis. We are working with a fantastic multi-academy trust in Rotherham (S65) that is looking for a committed and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support their students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working primarily 1:1 with a SEND pupil in KS2
  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour by applying strategies that encourage positive student interactions
  • Establishing safe and consistent learning routines for pupils at school, and in their community and home
  • Collaborating closely with teachers and staff to design individualised education plans for students who require additional support
  • Ensuring a stimulating and safe learning environment by organising and managing the physical teaching space and resources effectively
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEND) and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people, adjusting language and approach to suit their individual needs
  • A Level 3 + Teaching Assistant qualification
