The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying Assistant to join our team. As a Buying Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our Buyers and Buying Department, enabling them to function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administrative requirements of the Buyers, including order management, range planning, and purchase orders.
- Manage the critical path of products from purchase to delivery and on sale to sell out.
- Monitor and review the accuracy of product information online.
- Track, receive, log, and maintain the sample library.
- Conduct quality control and sample fit sessions.
- Perform competitor analysis and competitor shopping reports.
- Conduct trend research and create trend boards.
- Liaise with brands and suppliers daily.
- Be the first point of contact for the warehouse.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brands.
- Assist other departments with product and brand-related inquiries.
- Work with other departments to ensure brands and products are presented in the best way.
- Manage the SKU exception process.
- Prepare reports, update spreadsheets, and databases.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with 2 years of administrative experience, proficient in Excel, and able to work to deadlines. You should have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. A keen interest in sports and fashion, as well as knowledge of sports and fashion products, would be advantageous.
