Job Title: Project QS Specialist

The role of Project QS Specialist takes commercial responsibility for the contract performance for allocated works to maximise both turnover and profitability for contracts allocated.

You will hold a relevant quantity surveying degree qualification and will have experience as an active and effective team member in respect of cost and commercial matters on fast-track schemes with a high degree of change through the contract period.

Interfacing with other members of the internal project team is vital, as is ensuring accuracy and quality are to the standard required by the client.

You will take commercial responsibility for contract performance to maximise both turnover and profitability and will adhere to robust commercial process ensuring that the client obtains continued high quality, value for money and effective change management.

Successful candidates will preferably come from a Main Contracting background with hands-on experience in project delivery.

You will have strong commercial acumen with good negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and architects to maintain/build robust relationships.

Other information

Successful candidates must be willing to work out of the Glasgow office base location and be based on site as and when the job requires.

The successful candidates must:

  1. Be flexible in terms of hours work
  2. Hold a full UK driving licence
  3. Be computer literate, be fully IT literate in MS Word and Excel (at intermediate level)
  4. Hold a CSCS Regular site visitor card

Remuneration

  • Competitive salary dependant on experience
  • 5% Employers Pension Contributions
  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) + an extra 1/2 day off for your birthday
