Job Description

  As our Airport Director in Edinburgh, you will lead a world-class airport experience ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, and equipment at all times.

  The primary objective of the airport team is to deliver a high-quality customer experience. Achieving this requires meeting objectives within agreed financial constraints and representing Virgin Atlantic with local authorities, regulators, and service providers.

  Accountability and ownership are key functions of this position supported by successful delivery of critical metrics and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish productive relationships with suppliers and official bodies to ensure they deliver on behalf of our customers and the business.
  • Deliver superior customer service as an ambassador and role model for Virgin Atlantic in Edinburgh, ensuring a differentiated customer experience.
  • Manage people fairly and consistently in line with VAA guidelines to deliver a high-performance culture where people love to work and are engaged.
  • Be responsible for the overall budget of the Airport and drive efficiency while providing a high level of service.
About You

  Do you have proven leadership experience in a fast-paced airport environment? Do you have an understanding of local safety, regulatory, and government policies and regulations with a focus on compliance and accountability?

  • Proven track record of decision-making and proactive change management in a customer-focused environment.
  • Able to quickly analyse data and affect operational action plans.
  • Proven experience of budget forecasting and invoice management with a broad commercial awareness in an Airport environment.
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving customer-driven environment and be prepared to work unsocial hours and be flexible.
