About the Role

Wakefield Council is seeking a dedicated DT Technician to join our team at The King's School. As a technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students by providing practical assistance and maintaining the resources within the Design Technology department.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide essential support during practical lessons, including setting up and clearing down workspaces.
• Assist with learning activities under the guidance of teachers, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for students.
• Support the safe and effective use of equipment and materials, adhering to curriculum requirements and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and prepare requisitions for necessary equipment, following established procedures.
• Create and maintain a well-organized and productive working environment within the DT department and associated storage areas.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is flexible, proactive, and passionate about supporting student learning. While previous experience in a similar role is not essential, you should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week during term time plus two additional days.
