Compensation: £49,000 OTE (including a basic salary ranging from £31,000 to £41,000 based on qualifications and experience, plus bonuses and an additional £2,000 for EV certification)
Become a vital member of the Lookers Glasgow North Land Rover team as an Automotive Service Technician. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs utilizing advanced technology. You will work under the guidance of the service manager and benefit from continuous support and training to foster your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle inspections using state-of-the-art technology
- Perform vehicle maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Execute additional repairs with customer consent
- Carry out warranty repairs following manufacturer protocols
- Test drive vehicles to ensure optimal performance
- Complete all documentation to a high standard
Required Qualifications:
Applicants should possess at least an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant industry experience and a valid UK driving licence. Essential traits include self-motivation, teamwork, ambition, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
While prior experience with specific brands is preferred, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive brand training will be provided. Skills in diagnostics, MOT testing, and electric vehicle maintenance are beneficial but not essential.
