Housing Solicitor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated solicitor to join our dynamic housing law team in Manchester. As a Housing Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected firm with a strong reputation for advocating on behalf of tenants. Our specialist housing law team focuses solely on helping tenants with legal challenges, providing them with the support they need compassionately and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a caseload of varying complexity related to housing law, providing expert advice on matters such as eviction, possession, homelessness, succession, and anti-social behaviour.
  2. Offer compassionate and sympathetic client care to meet clients' individual needs, ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency standards.
  3. Collaborate with senior and junior colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  4. Advocate strongly in court and in other settings for your clients.

Requirements

We are seeking a solicitor with a strong commitment to legal aid and a desire to help those facing housing challenges. You will also have:

  1. Passion for legal aid and supporting vulnerable individuals, including those with mental health issues.
  2. Excellent client care skills and a sympathetic understanding of client needs.
  3. Ability to independently manage a caseload of varying complexity.
  4. Strong knowledge of housing law, including eviction, possession, and homelessness issues.
  5. Excellent advocacy, organisational, and IT skills.
  6. Ability to meet the rigorous standards required by the Legal Aid Agency.
