Exciting Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Team in Herefordshire. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown/reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
  2. Ensure engineering maintenance is carried out in line with the current schedule and effective corrective action is taken.
  3. Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to management and work with the operations department to minimize plant disruption.
  4. Record and identify spare parts used and report to the Engineering Manager.
  5. Ensure maintenance and engineering practices are audit compliant and follow good engineering standards and hygiene practice.
Requirements:
  1. Time served multi-skilled apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Manufacturing experience.
  3. IEE 17th or 18th Edition and PLC experience are desirable.

This role is integral to maintaining the high-quality and efficiency standards that have positioned our company as one of the UK's largest food businesses within the poultry sector.
