About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic classroom setting. As a key member of the educational team, you will provide tailored support to boost student learning and engagement, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that encourages participation and engagement from all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) to address individual student needs effectively.
  • Assist with behavioural management strategies to promote positive conduct and a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless support for students with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress, sharing insights with the educational team to facilitate ongoing improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for helping students overcome learning barriers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students in a dynamic classroom setting.
