Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a market leading manufacturing business based in Preston.

This is a permanent role created due to continued expansion and business growth. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG/Industrial maintenance-based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with Hydraulics/Pneumatics/Motors/Pumps/Conveyors is essential, while experience with Electrical Maintenance, including PLC Fault Finding, is advantageous.

This is a shift-based role working 4 on 4 off (2 days 6AM-6PM + 2 nights 6PM-6AM). Candidates must be time-served with a demonstrable background in Mechanical Maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition to maintain and enhance performance of all machinery. This includes reducing engineering downtime, responding rapidly to machine failures and breakdowns, undertaking projects, and assisting with on-site installations.

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
