About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Specialist Air to join our team. As a Pricing Specialist Air, you will be responsible for negotiating and confirming rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers to maximize cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate Rates: Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers to ensure the best possible prices for our clients.
  • Rate Confirmation: Confirm the availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists.
  • Quotation Preparation: Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframes.
  • Quotation Management: Manage and follow up all quotes to obtain feedback and measure success.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and build relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Tariff Development: Develop and maintain strategic tariffs to ensure effective workload and ensure tariffs are kept up to date and relevant.
  • Carrier Monitoring: Monitor carrier websites and notifications to stay informed of changes and updates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • Industry Knowledge: Industry and operational knowledge of airfreight, including inbound, outbound, and cross-trade.
  • Numerical Skills: Strong numerical and commercial skills, including the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office applications, including Cargowise.
