Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Autism in a 1:1 setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students with EAL and autism, ensuring they receive the personalised assistance they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with EAL and autism
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure the child's integration within the classroom environment
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support learning goals
  • Monitor and record progress, reporting to teachers and SEN coordinators
  • Foster a nurturing and positive learning atmosphere
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support
About You:

We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for supporting children's development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusion and equality.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with EAL and autism is essential
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not mandatory
