Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join Nova Training.

Job Summary

This is a part-time, permanent role working 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing behavioural difficulties that may occur
  • Motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best results
  • Contribute to our core vision and values
  • Work independently and as part of a strong and cohesive team
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge within English and Maths
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting
  • Relevant Qualification/training in Special Education
  • Previous experience of working with learners who have an EHCP would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning

Salary:

National Minimum Wage - £22,500 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience, skills & qualifications)
