About the Job

We are currently seeking a Weekend Mail Handler to join our team in Severn Beach. As a key member of our seasonal workforce, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of mail and packages during the festive season.

Job Description
  • Unload mail and packages from vans or lorries into the distribution centre
  • Move mail and packages through the centre using trolleys and lifting/moving mail bags as required
  • Assist with sorting letters and parcels to ensure timely delivery
Working Hours and Salary

You will work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and night shifts, earning £14.48 per hour, £16.23 per hour, and £17.44 per hour respectively.

Requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to push trolleys (up to 250kg) and lift/move mail bags (up to 11kg)
  • Comfortable with extended periods of walking and standing
  • Happy to consent to a Basic DBS check prior to starting work, paid for by Pertemps
