Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bulk / Fleet / Transport Planner to join our team at Hg Ltd in Minworth, Birmingham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods and materials.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and coordinate transportation movements to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials.
  2. Monitor and manage driver availability, ensuring that all drivers are properly briefed and debriefed.
  3. Conduct regular spot checks of driver's Pre-shift and post shift vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  4. Communicate effectively with drivers during their daily duties, updating the daily call log and addressing any issues that may arise.
  5. Deal with breakdowns, punctures, and other vehicle-related issues as they happen.
  6. Report and document any vehicle defects, ensuring that all necessary repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
  7. Plan and coordinate transport movements, taking into account factors such as traffic, road conditions, and weather.
  8. Enter data and scan documents as required, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  9. Download vehicle tachograph information, ensuring that all data is accurate and compliant with regulations.

Requirements
  1. Proven experience in road transport planning, with a strong understanding of tachograph regulations and rules.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers and other stakeholders.
  3. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing circumstances.
  6. Self-motivated and organized, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Shift Patterns
  1. 10-Hour Shifts
  2. 6am-10pm
  3. Monday – Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,000.00 per year
