Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lighting Design Engineer to join our team at BMS Performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems for outdoor lighting infrastructure, including columns, masts, and high-performance exterior lighting fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for columns, masts, and high-performance exterior lighting systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements for new projects, evaluating the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of electrical components and systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials and components, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative lighting solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in exterior lighting design, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and proficiency in relevant design software.
  • ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma is desirable, but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
What We Offer
  • Salary up to £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience.
