About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our team of multidisciplinary engineers in delivering high-quality projects to our clients. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and overseeing the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers through project activities to complete projects on time and to high quality standards.
  • Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align project expectations and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Review and approve project documentation.
  • Lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage.
Requirements
  • Master's degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment.
  • CEng status preferred.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package.
  • Strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way.
  • Ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly.
  • Due to security restrictions, this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
