Job Summary
NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients in the community. As a Primary Care Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, risk management, and psychological interventions to individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, using a strength-based recovery-focused approach.
- Work in partnership with patients, carers, and other professionals/agencies to promote partnership working and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Supervise the practice of others, monitor/undertake mentorship responsibilities, and support the team leader in staff learning and development.
- Contribute to the ongoing learning and development of the staff team and the Primary Care Mental Health Team.
Requirements
- Relevant post-registration qualification (BA, BSc, Diploma in Mental Health Nursing) or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering psychological therapies and working in a community-based setting.
- Registration with an appropriate professional body.
- Excellent clinical skills, leadership, facilitated learning, and service improvement skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
