The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and entering data into accounting software or databases, while maintaining accurate filing systems.
  • Preparing financial statements, including business income and expenditure, to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Completing VAT returns and ensuring accurate tax compliance.
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the accountant to any errors or discrepancies.
  • Developing monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets, to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the accountants reconcile inaccuracies and maintain accurate records.
  • Preparing employee wages and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Assisting the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Managing employee expense claims and ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Performing quality work within deadlines, with or without supervision, and interacting professionally with other employees and clients.
  • Carrying out any other ad-hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an Accounting firm or a similar environment. The role will be office-based and is a full-time position.
