About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire County Council as a Traffic Engineering Project Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping highways to save lives and encourage greater sustainable travel.

About the Team & Role

You will have a keen interest in and a commitment to road safety and sustainability. In this role, you will project manage traffic engineering projects through their life cycle, working with in-house and external teams to deliver design solutions and construction phases that achieve project and council objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage traffic engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver design solutions and construction phases
  • Manage project programmes, risks, and budgets
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with colleagues to bid for funding
  • Ensure projects follow required policies and processes
  • Apply health and safety regulations to all projects, including the CDM Regulations 2015
About You

You will have experience in highway and traffic engineering design and project managing highway and traffic engineering projects. You will be experienced in producing and managing programmes and have a track record of effective stakeholder collaboration. You will be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and have experience of bidding for project funding. You will also have experience of applying the CDM Regulations 2015 and understand sustainable travel principles and the impact of engineering on environmental issues.
