Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Distinct Group. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in the planning and preparation of menus, including food costing and inventory management
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and development
  • Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new menu ideas and concepts
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other senior team members to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and high standards
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a focus on maintaining high standards
