The Anson McCade company is seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer to join their team in Northern Ireland. As a key member of the product development team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and automating tests to ensure the quality and reliability of a classroom collaboration tool used by educators and students worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in project concept meetings to define test requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop comprehensive test procedures, documentation, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Design and automate functional, performance, and other tests to ensure the product meets the highest standards of quality.
- Conduct exploratory testing for individual components or features to identify potential issues and provide feedback to the development team.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, working closely with the development team to ensure timely fixes.
- Communicate and summarize testing status to the project team, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A strong commitment to product quality and a passion for testing as a craft, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A technical diploma or university degree in a related field, such as computer science or software engineering.
- Proven industry experience in software testing, with a focus on UI testing and automation.
- Authorization to work in Northern Ireland, with a strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with test automation, software development, or scripting, with a focus on open-source testing tools like RobotFramework, Python, Selenium, Sikuli, and Appium.
- Familiarity with continuous integration systems such as TeamCity, with a focus on automating testing and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of Git workflow and tools like SourceTree, with a focus on version control and collaboration.
- Expertise in UI and usability testing, particularly web software testing, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Proficiency with Chrome DevTools, with a focus on debugging and troubleshooting.
- Experience with iOS and Android device testing, as well as Windows and Mac operating systems, with a focus on ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
