Stroke Psychology Services Clinical Lead

About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is for a Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical psychology services to stroke survivors and their families in a range of settings, including inpatient and community rehabilitation units, homes, or other community settings.
Job Responsibilities- To work collaboratively with the stroke multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the delivery of a stepped model of care for both cognitive and emotional difficulties post-stroke, involving significant roles in consultation, advice, training, and supervision.
- To provide specialist psychological/therapeutic assessments of service users referred to the stroke service pathway based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources.
- To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological/therapeutic treatment and/or management of service users' problems, employing methods based on evidence of efficacy across a full range of care settings.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead on different service development projects and developments, including work in the pathway towards the new National Stroke Service model.
About You- A qualified Clinical Psychologist with experience in working with stroke survivors and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Strong knowledge of psychological theories and interventions, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
The salary for this role is £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, life assurance, and professional indemnity cover.
