About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Methodist Homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with their medication needs, ensuring accurate administration and monitoring.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and events, promoting social interaction and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in care or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
