We are seeking an experienced Contract/Commercial Specialist - M&E to join our dynamic team on a prestigious site-based project in Greenwich, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company that offers Mechanical and Electrical Services covering the London and South of England.

About the Role:

  • Oversee all commercial activities for the project, including cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery within budget and timelines.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the project.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor project costs and variations, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Develop and implement effective cost management strategies.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry, ideally in a similar commercial role.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and project management tools.
