CAD/CAM Programmer Job Description

Ambitek Limited is seeking a highly skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team in the Manufacturing sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs for various manufacturing processes using CAM packages such as SmartCAM and GibbsCAM.
  • Utilize Creo (ProEngineer) to create complex machined profiles on milling, turning, and turn/mill machines.
  • Design and develop programs and methodologies for various manufacturing processes using specific and bespoke software.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date routings, and estimate product costs for sales and directors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a CAD/CAM Programmer role.
  • Practical engineering apprenticeship and significant experience in engineering production/manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of using computers and computer software packages to generate CNC programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, geometrical tolerance, and dimensioning.
  • Knowledge of engineering tooling, materials, and work-holding methodology.
Working Hours:

The role is available on days, twilight, and nights, with flexible shifts to accommodate the needs of the business.
