Job Description

This is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in credit risk management. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing credit strategies, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing credit decisioning lending strategies for both retail and SME secured and unsecured products
  • Developing capability and processes to meet new and existing regulatory requirements
  • Driving insight to ensure portfolio credit risks are clearly understood and managed appropriately, maintaining a detailed understanding of portfolio performance
  • Providing regular updates on portfolio performance at our monthly Credit Risk Committee
  • Support maintaining proactive portfolio compliance with the UK regulatory regime
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, both with internal and key external contacts

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A deep understanding of regulations and lending standards applicable to lending in the UK
  • Extensive experience in a risk or credit function within an FCA regulated company
  • A proven track record in designing, creating, implementing and enhancing credit strategy across the lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills

Estimated Salary: £85,000 - £120,000 per annum
