Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Raw Materials & Packaging Specialist to join our team at The Compleat Food Group.


About the Role:


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, based in Crewe. As a Raw Materials & Packaging Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and packaging requirements meet scheduled production plans and are ordered in a timely manner using our approved suppliers.


Your Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Enforce strict adherence to TCFG health and safety policy to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Raise Purchase Orders: Assist in raising day-to-day purchase orders from Material Call Off (MCO) sheets.
  • Material Administration: Conduct daily checks on materials with longer lead times to ensure forward orders are placed within this lead time.
  • Chase Outstanding Orders: Chase outstanding orders from suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving day-to-day issues related to raw materials and packaging.
  • Highlight Customer Issues: Highlight any issues that may influence customer orders, including those already in place or planned.
  • Purchase Ledger Queries: Help resolve any purchase ledger queries brought to your attention.
  • Order Processing: Process orders for goods inward shipping, providing accurate documentation in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Shelf-Life Management: Assist in shelf-life management by highlighting issues and working with operations & supply chain to reduce potential stock write-offs.
  • Batch and Stock Accuracy: Maintain batch and stock location accuracy on company software.

Requirements:



  • TROPOS Knowledge: Possess working knowledge of TROPOS and associated systems.
  • Operational KPI Analysis: Analyze and present operational KPIs effectively.
  • Numerical and Negotiation Skills: Demonstrate sound numerical and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with suppliers, transportation, and distribution businesses.
  • IT Skills: Possess high-level IT skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Drive and Determination: Show energy drive and determination to succeed.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Display good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Possess organisational skills.

Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
