Job Title: Physiologist Specialist

As a key member of our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services in our Community Diagnostic Centre. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Physiologist and a strong desire to take their career to the next level or seek new challenges in a community setting. Key responsibilities include:
* Spirometry
* Dynamic lung volumes, maximal flow volume loops
* Static lung volume measurement
* Assessment of bronchodilator response
* Arterial blood gas punctures, and analysis
* Hyper-reactivity (using mannitol)
* Sleep Studies
* CPAP set up

You will also participate in service management aspects, including quality assurance, workforce planning, appraisal, and student supervision.

This role offers an attractive salary of approximately £35,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as access to the NHS Pension Scheme, 27 days holiday, and extensive learning and development opportunities.

We welcome applications from candidates with a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent formal specialist training, as well as relevant post-qualification experience and knowledge of basic and advanced respiratory investigations.
