We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Portering Services Department at Glan Clwyd Hospital and across Community sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to requests for the movement of patients and goods in a timely and efficient manner, providing a comprehensive service that meets the needs of our patients and staff.
This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift, transfer, push, and pull substantial weights, with the assistance of mechanical aids where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of customer care and a focus on delivering a high-quality service, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties
Portering Services provides essential support to all areas of the hospital, and the successful candidate will be expected to react to the various challenges within the working environment.
The workload can be unpredictable, with changes in patient capacity, patient flow, and external influences such as weather and environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective response to requests for patient movement, assistance in emergency situations, and the collection and delivery of samples and medicines.
They will also be responsible for carrying out scheduled tasks such as delivering meal trolleys, linen, goods, and mail in a timely manner.
