Macro Quantitative Researcher Job Description

A top-tier hedge fund based in London is seeking a skilled Quantitative Researcher to join their systematic macro pod. This is an exciting opportunity to research and develop new systematic global macro strategies, working closely with one of the industry's most prominent figures.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop systematic trading strategies to identify potential macro investment opportunities
  • Conduct the full cycle process, from strategy development to portfolio construction and optimization
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of macro markets, including FX, rates, and derivatives
Requirements:
  • Strong Python skills and experience with machine learning
  • Strong academic background in a quantitative discipline, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • 2-5+ years of experience working in the finance industry, with a focus on macro markets
  • Experience with portfolio construction and optimization
