Waterfront Officer

**Job Overview**

The Cornwall Council is looking for two Seasonal Part Time Waterfront Officers to cover the summer season in the River Fal.

This role involves undertaking general maritime duties, including collecting fees, maintenance tasks, refuse disposal, and enforcing local bye-laws within the Ports of Truro and Penryn.

The estimated salary for this position is £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake general maritime duties related to the collection of mooring, anchoring, berthing, and pontoon fees.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as checking equipment and reporting any issues.
• Ensure the efficient disposal of refuse within the ports.
• Enforce local bye-laws as necessary, maintaining a high level of customer care and knowledge of local waters.

Requirements:

• A RYA Powerboat competency qualification.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Ability to work alone and on own initiative.
• Knowledge of local waters.
